Can you afford not to be a member?
YHFF are running a Masterclass on Thursday 26th January covering the subject of e-crime.
The event will address information protection and cyber security, providing practical and cost effective ways to secure your business against e-crime. The Masterclass is free for YHFF members, and will give a valuable insight into the world of e-crime.
The value of reported fraud rocketed to more than £2bn (£2,095,341,000) in the UK last year, according to accountancy firm BDO’s 2011 FraudTrack report. This represents a 50% increase on last year’s figure of £1.4bn and the highest ever figure for BDO’s annual survey. Since its launch in 2003, when fraud totalled £331m, there has been a seven fold increase in the cost of reported fraud.
Small business owners are being given the opportunity to tell Action Fraud about their experiences and requirements for support in self-protection and fraud prevention.
During 2012 the Action Fraud website will become a centralised source of information and advice for small businesses. To offer the best possible service we are actively seeking insight from small business owners. This is a genuine opportunity for you to tell Action Fraud what is relevant, useful and helpful.
