About Us

Our Purpose

Yorkshire and Humber Fraud Forum (YHFF) was created to support, encourage and protect the growth of the Yorkshire and Humberside economy by bringing public and private sectors together to combat fraud and financial crime. In doing so, we aim to promote awareness of fraud amongst its membership and organisations throughout the region. YHFF also aims to develop best practice cultures by developing and encouraging fraud prevention strategies to benefit its membership.

Our Objectives
To assist in the reduction of fraud across Yorkshire and the HumberTo identify fraud risks and illustrate fraud methods to raise awareness and develop best practice solutionsTo provide a platform for discussion for members and other fraud prevention focused organisationsTo promote open and cohesive relationships between members in both the public and private sectorsTo organise masterclasses, seminars and conferences on subjects relating to fraud and effective preventionTo encourage the uptake of membership throughout the region to enable greater awareness of fraud issuesTo establish and develop strategic alliances by collaborating with regulatory and charitable bodies and other relative authoritiesTo ensure the promotion and adoption of adequate security measures to reduce the risk of fraudTo make available tools and policies for fraud prevention where appropriateTo provide opportunities to give feedback and provide surveys to assess the general effectiveness of the Yorkshire and Humber
  Fraud ForumTo gain support and input in contributing to protective legislation and policies, and develop research through involvement of the
  membership to develop fraud prevention strategiesTo collaborate with other fraud forums in the UK and where necessary, overseas.
